1951 Ford F-7 Big Job American LaFrance
In early December 2008 The Community Fire Company of Rising Sun purchased a 1951 Ford F-7 Big Job fire truck with an American LaFrance body. This antique engine closely resembles the 1952 Ford LaFrance the fire company had purchased new in the 1950s. The 1951 that was just purchased has 7,200mi on it and was purchased new by the Linden Indiana fire department and served them until 1987. It was then passed through the hands of 2 collectors before being found by CFCRS. These collectors worked to maintain the beauty of this truck, and keeping it road worthy. The truck is in great shape and features the original paint. Please check this page often for updates on our antique engine.
