 On Thursday January 7th The Community Fire Company of Rising Sun Inc. placed in service a new Utility vehicle. The unit, designated Utility 831 is a 1999 Ford Ranger. Utility 831 was placed in service to be used as a four wheel drive assist vehicle. It carries a stokes basket and has patient carrying capabilities. The Ford Ranger was donated to CFCRS by Ramsey Ford. Several parts for the vehicle were also donated by Banks Auto Recycling, and R.L. Jackson Inc. The body work was also done at a reduced cost by Mike Montgomery Auto Body. Numerous hours were put into the placing the unit into service by Chief Engineer Joe Gilbert, and Assistant Engineer Wesley Wehry. For pictures of the reveal at Ramsey Ford, please click here.
